Shopify stores pay through Shopify, on the store's regular invoice. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, plan changes go through Shopify's approval screen, and cancelling refunds the unused time.

Safety

When in doubt, it stops and asks.

  • Verified before anything is shared

    Shoppers confirm a code sent to their order email before Counter shows a single order detail. Codes expire after 10 minutes.

  • Exact quotes, your rules

    Every return, refund or change is quoted exactly from the live order and only runs when your published rule allows it. Returns and refunds also wait for the shopper to confirm the quote.

  • Fails closed

    Right before an action runs, Counter rereads the order and your rules. Missing facts or an unclear result go to your team, never to a guess.

Counter on Shopify, answered.

Do I need a developer to add Counter to Shopify?

No. After you connect your store, turn on the Counter app embed in your Shopify theme editor. There's no code to paste, and you can style the chat's name, greeting, color, logo and position.

What can Counter do in my Shopify store?

Counter asks for the permissions it needs to read products, orders and policies and to make the order changes you enable. Your workspace lists the permissions you granted, and an order change only happens when that topic's rule and your plan allow it.

Can Counter refund a Shopify order without my approval?

Only if you've published a rule that allows it. Set refunds to Approval required and every proposal waits in your inbox for a teammate, or to Human only and Counter never acts on them.

How is Counter billed on Shopify?

Through Shopify, on your store's invoice. Each store has its own plan, and annual billing charges ten months for twelve.

What happens when I uninstall Counter?

Your store credentials are deleted immediately. Conversations are deleted after your retention period, 30 days by default.
