Most support automation forces a choice. A chatbot that can only repeat the FAQ leaves shoppers waiting for a person to issue a refund. An AI that's allowed to act with no one watching puts real money and real customers at risk.
Counter is built for the space in between: an assistant that does the work, checks its facts against the live store, quotes every change exactly, and stops to ask when it isn't sure. The store decides how far it goes, one topic at a time.
What we believe
Four rules we build by.
Rules come before automation
Every store publishes its own rules, topic by topic: act, ask a teammate, or hand off. Counter never takes an action those rules don't allow, and drafts never authorize anything.
Fail closed, never guess
Missing facts, expired verification or an unclear result always end with the store's team. Right before an action runs, Counter rereads the order and the rules.
Shopper data belongs to the store
Shoppers verify an order by email before any detail is shared. Conversations are deleted after 30 days by default, store credentials are encrypted, and store data isn't used to train AI models.
Pay for the work, not the seats
Stores pay for conversations the assistant answers. Chats only the team handles are free, and every plan includes unlimited team seats.
