Return shipping options
- Create a return label in Shopify, if you have a location in the same country as the customer's address and that country is the US or Canada.
- Upload a return label as a PDF, PNG or JPEG, or add a label URL, with an optional tracking number and carrier.
- No shipping required, which creates the return without shipping information.
After the items come back
Process the return to issue a refund, collect payment or complete an even exchange. Fees and exchange items are weighed against the returned items to work out what's owed. Exchange inventory isn't reserved until you process the return, and you fulfill exchange items after that.
Let customers start returns themselves
Shopify's self-serve returns let customers submit requests from their order status page, and return rules control which items are eligible and for how long.
Let shoppers ask in chat
Counter can handle return requests in your store's chat, within rules you publish, and can hold any change for a teammate's approval. On Shopify it needs the Growth plan or above.
